Sait Gumus

Capital markets & securities infrastructure

About

How I work in regulated financial systems, large-scale product orgs, and the day-to-day craft of shipping dependable software.

I’m Sait Gumus, a software engineer focused on capital markets and securities infrastructure. I currently work as a Software Engineer at MKK (Merkezi Kayıt Kuruluşu — Turkey’s central securities depository), building and evolving systems where correctness, auditability, and operational resilience matter as much as feature delivery.

Before that, I was a Software Developer at Trendyol Group, where I learned how high-traffic product engineering, platform boundaries, and delivery discipline come together in practice. That background shapes how I approach scalable backends, cloud-native services, and end-to-end ownership from design through deployment.

Technically, I’m comfortable across Golang, Spring Boot, Node.js, Kotlin, React, Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and patterns such as microservices, event-driven design, and CI/CD—always with an emphasis on clean, maintainable code that teams can extend without surprises.

Outside of work, I’m a father of two, a lifelong learner, and someone who cares about clear thinking and systems that stay useful after the first release. I write longer notes on the blog and keep selected work on the projects page.
